    At Northwest Christian Preschool we provide part-time preschool and Pre-K programs while offering an academic program for each age group (Preschool, for ages 3-4 years & Pre-K, for ages 4-5 years). Our goal is to provide an environment that stimulates the child’s physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social development.

    Northwest Christian Preschool is looking for a qualified teacher to guide preschool children as they ease into organized education. The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental, spiritual, social, and emotional development of the children so they can more easily acclimate in the next level of education. At NCP we seek to train up our children in the way of the Lord introducing core values and morals while inspiring spiritual, physical, intellectual, social, and emotional growth. We seek to equip children with a sound spiritual and academic foundation.

    ABOUT NORTHWEST CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS OF LACEY

    Northwest Christian Schools of Lacey (NCS) is an evangelical Christian school offers education to children from Preschool – 12th grade.  We are located on a beautiful 14-acre campus in Lacey, Washington.  We are the only Christian private school in Thurston County that offers education from preschool to graduation.

    Northwest Christian Schools of Lacey is comprised of three schools:

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The NCS Director of Mission Advancement is a spiritually mature Christian leader responsible for developing and executing strategies to advance the mission of our Christ-centered K–12 school through fundraising, donor engagement, and community partnerships. This position will lead efforts in cultivating generosity, fostering long-term relationships with supporters, and promoting the vision of the school within churches, the local community, and the alumni network. This is a new position and will be creating and implementing new systems for the campus.

    The ideal candidate will be passionate about Christian education at Northwest Christian Schools of Lacey, relationally driven, and skilled in stewardship, development, and ministry-minded outreach.

    REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

    The NCS Director of Mission Advancement reports to the NCS head of school (HOS). The HOS reports directly to the NCS school board.


    QUALIFICATIONS

      • Be 21 years of age or older;
      • A growing and personal relationship with Jesus Christ; active participation in a local church;
      • A clear passion for Christian education and the mission of the school;
      • Bachelor’s degree required;
      • Preferred 3–5 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or nonprofit advancement (Christian ministry setting strongly preferred);
      • Preferred proficiency with donor management systems and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace;
      • Strong relational and interpersonal skills; capable of building trust and clearly communicating the mission and vision of NCS to potential donors an supporters of NCS;
      • Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.

      NECESSARY SPIRITUAL QUALITIES

      • Maintain high standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity in all personal and professional matters;
      • Sign and actively support the school’s Statement of Faith;
      • Demonstrate a desire for spiritual growth as evidenced by an active prayer life, Bible study, and spiritual outreach to others, seeking to live life as His disciple;
      • Be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions toward others;
      • Follow the Matthew 18 principle in dealing with conflict with students, parents, staff, and administration.

      SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

        Fundraising & Development

        • Design and implement annual and long-term fundraising strategies, including major gifts, capital campaigns, annual fund, grants, and planned giving;
        • Cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with donors, foundations, and key supporters;
        • Implement and manage new donor database, acknowledgments, and reporting to ensure accurate tracking and communication;
        • Oversee fundraising events, appeals, and campaigns aligned with the school’s mission and values.

        Community & Church Engagement

        • Serve as an ambassador for the school within the Christian community, building relationships with pastors, church leaders, and local ministries;
        • Create and implement outreach strategies to deepen partnerships with local churches and Christian organizations;
        • Represent the school at community events and in public forums to enhance visibility and support.

        Alumni & Parent Relations

        • Develop and grow the alumni association to foster lifelong relationships and engagement;
        • Plan and host events for alumni, current families, and community members to promote connection and involvement;
        • Encourage alumni giving and involvement in school life and mentoring.

        Event Planning & Communication

        • Lead the planning and execution of donor-focused events, such as banquets, open houses, and ministry celebrations;
        • Create strategy to collaborate with the communications team to share impact stories, giving opportunities, and campaign updates;
        • Ensure consistent, Christ-honoring messaging that reflects the values and mission of the school.

        Communication

        • Collaborate with Head of School on all strategic communications;
        • Provide framework for the creation of marketing materials to keep donors informed of needs, development programs and activities and opportunities to This will include annual reporting, email, website, social media, and other appropriate materials as well as all annual fund and endowment solicitations;
        • Coordinate an annual report for school stakeholders;
        • Carry out a communication plan of activities that support relationships between the school and its external constituents (i.e., alumni, alumni parents, parents, donors, and friends) which support private giving to the school.

        Additional Responsibilities

        • Carry out all assignments and responsibilities, as delegated by the Head of School;
        • Stay current on development laws and regulations, providing updates as needed;
        • Attend board level committee meetings as directed by the Head of School.

        PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

        • Require the ability to walk around campus and up/down stairs;

        • Is subject to inside and rarely outside environmental conditions;
        • Mental acuity to perform the essential functions of this position.

        BUS DRIVER

        Northwest Christian Schools of Lacey is looking for bus drivers to drive our athletic teams, field trips, and summer camp to various locations within the western Washington footprint. This would be a part-time, as-needed position.

        Qualifications include your CDL Class B license with a school bus endorsement. We are looking for a Christian individual who would like to have a ministry driving for Northwest Christian Schools.
