Developing Christian Leaders
"Developing Christian Leaders" is more than a slogan at Northwest Christian High School, it's what we do. It is the mission of NCHS to assist the family by providing a Christ-centered, Bible-based education that inspires each student to pursue excellence in moral character, academics, and servant leadership.
Northwest Christian Private Schools, also known as Community Christian Academy and Northwest Christian High School, admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to its students. The school does not discriminate on the basis of race in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and grant programs, and athletic and other school administered programs.
NCHS Continues to Partner with Northwest Nazarene University in offering Concurrent Credit
The Concurrent Credit Program is a partnership between NNU and participating high schools, offering the opportunity for qualifying high school students to begin college while still enrolled in high school. Courses are offered in the high school classrooms during the regular school day, and are taught by high school teachers who have been approved by NNU departments to teach the courses for NNU credit as adjunct instructors.
The Concurrent Credit Program serves high schools in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.
Courses offered through the Concurrent Credit Program are the same as those taught to freshmen and sophomores on the NNU campus. However, the partnership with the high school allows for a significant college tuition discount.
NCHS has three teachers who are approved by NNU as adjunct professors in offering the following courses:
Art 2 - Mrs. Walker
Biology - Mr. Scott Hollis
Spanish 3 & 4 - Mrs. Wilson
